I spent the afternoon at a friend's house hanging and watching Epitaph 1 and 2 in sequence. Man, that's good tv. Also, I cried AGAIN. I'm a sucker.
We also watched the unaired pilot. So damn good.
I hope that Joss and the FX guy have a v. productive lunch and we get unadulterated Joss tv in the near future.
Someone on IO9 suggested Enver in a Pretender remake. That would totally be fun.
You can buy it off iTunes. That's what I did.
You know, it makes me really pissy that something this canonical is something I have to purchase on my own. Now, frankly some of this is because I swore I have some credit on Amazon and couldn't make it work last night. But ... yeah, I want to see it but I am cranky about it.
I was okay about E1 only being on the dvds when I thought it was the end of the show.
Plus I am cranky because the show really got good and really got canceled. As happens.
BTW, what language was Tony speaking when he pulled up in his MadMaxmobile?

That would be fantastic. Or, really, any sort of spy-type show where he had to play a range of characters would be good.

Couldn't he be a recurring bad guy on Leverage?
One can only hope John Rogers watched
Dollhouse.

Well, Enver's got a kickass audition tape now.
The Bad Guy Leverage team needs a grifter...
So I'm watching E2 with my wife last night, and as they start the invasion of the Dollhouse I paused it and said, okay someone has to die here. She's like, why. I said, well Joss is unable to make a series finale without killing off some kind of main character. So we started guessing out who was the goner. (Well I did, my wife just wanted me to hit play, but put up with me because she's awesome and does that.)
We ruled out Tony and Priya because a) it would orphan little T, and b) their eventual togetherness was the series biggest in terms of payoff. Killing either one would ruin that.
I first thought it might be Maggie or (memfault landscaper guy), but my wife said it wouldn't mean much as their story hadn't really been told yet, though we knew they were definitely moving towards something.
So I predicted Paul. Because he'd just put it out there for Echo. It seemed a little off the nose, as Echo hadn't reciprocated but we knew she was going there so it was the closest to the Jossian formula.
My wife said, maybe he won't kill anyone and that would be a surprise. It sure would have been. I unpaused, and not 30 seconds later Paul took one in the head. I guess the effect was lost on us, but it still felt right.
Otherwise, I liked most things about this episode except Echo's breakdown. It just seemed over the top.
