He doesn't travel well. He's like fine shrimp.

TV, movies, web media--this thread is the home for any Joss projects that don't already have their own threads, such as Dr. Horrible.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

And the Grr Argh came up so abruptly.

Yeah, I wondered if that was a transmission error. Did that happen to West Coast people as well?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My DVR cut out before Grr Argh. Did he do anything different?

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Not an episode to watch on a day when you're feeling a bit low anyway. Apparently.

My current takeaway from this is sweetly haunting, which is not really a place I expect Joss to leave me.

Definitely. It was a whole new way for him to end something.

I thought Eliza was unusually good this ep. Not sure I like Ballard ending up in Echo's head, but it makes a kind of sense, too. I agree that there were so many arcs I'd have liked to have seen - not least Alpha's. How cool was the double take moment when we worked out he was good now?

A light-touch finish. And an interesting way to end.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Because Joss never casually killed anyone before?

Yeah. Paul's just joined a support group in the afterlife where he gets to play poker with Tara, Anya and Wash.

I agree that there were so many arcs I'd have liked to have seen - not least Alpha's. How cool was the double take moment when we worked out he was good now?

Yeah. Alpha's reformation was alluded to in "Epitaph One," but we really didn't see it until now. And yet, it seemed much more natural than I would have guessed.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I thought Paul-in-Echo was creepy but maybe if I was Paul I'd be happy to be alive in any way at all.

When Echo told Alpha that Paul didn't make it I felt how closely Paul's death paralelled Wash's.

I started to cry when Topher told Adelle he would have to trip the bomb 1manually and then laughing on top of crying when Alpha asked if it was a bad time to request a favor.

Aside from the abrupt Grr Argh (was the show running too long?) I find it a fitting end to a show I grew to love.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Because Joss never casually killed anyone before?

Oh, of course he has. Ballard's death in the heat of battle with a bullet to the head just felt rather familiar is all.

My current takeaway from this is sweetly haunting, which is not really a place I expect Joss to leave me.

Yeah, it was a happier ending than I was expecting, even though I didn't really feel happy. "Sweetly haunting" is a good description.

Yeah, I wondered if that was a transmission error. Did that happen to West Coast people as well?

Yep. Weird.

Yeah. Alpha's reformation was alluded to in "Epitaph One," but we really didn't see it until now.

Was it? I do need to rewatch it.

then laughing on top of crying when Alpha asked if it was a bad time to request a favor.

Ooooh, now that line makes sense.

I was really hoping the bomb worked on Alpha... but then I remembered he was a serial killer before the dollhouse. Does he know that? Didn't Echo?

I didn't.

Yep. Echo says they have Alpha to thank for Haven.

Ah! Interesting. At the time, we would have assumed that, like, he killed everyone there, so good for them.
