mnhh hngh wah hah wah! The suspense with Topher is killing me.
Later, I was getting ready to cry some more in anticipation of Topher pain.
And then later later I laughed and laughed over "I love you guys".
And there goes the buddy cop series with Ballard and Boyd.
Amy Acker continues to amaze me. She seems so male, but not a charicature of a man.
Oh Tahmoh, bet you never thought you'd be good for nothing more than braindead jokes and comic relief, huh?
Whoa!
Nice turn of the tables on Boyd or whoever he was!
But, did they save the world?
But, did they save the world?
Well ... there IS one more episode to go, so I'm thinking not as much as they think.
It's like ... you know how when a series finale happens, and you're generally OK with it, but you find yourself thinking, "Yeah. No way is it THAT easy." But, show's over, so there's not much use in wondering what's next? (Except in fan fic, where inevitably the next chapter entails sex with Spike.)
That's what this episode felt like. (Minus the sex with Spike part.) This felt like that sort of series finale, except that there's actually a whole other chapter left. So ... yeah!
there's still plenty of time for sex with spike.
You guys saw the "...ten years later," right? I also got a promo for next week so yeah, not so much with the world saving. But what a great end for Boyd. "I try to be my best" I almost couldn't look. I'm glad they outed him last week so I had some time to process.
Was he imprinted with Victor?
But, did they save the world?
Did you not see the "Ten Years Later" bit at the end? Not so much.
Loved the return of Victor-as-Topher. And aaargh, so much cringiness in the scenes with Topher and Boyd! "Thank you for confiding in me, Topher." Aaaaaaahhhh.
Amy Acker is so great. And strangely hot in a suit.
I kind of liked that Caroline was special because of her UNIQUE SPINAL FLUID. It's so ridiculous yet it works. Enough.
Boyd's "I love you guys" was awesome. I'm really not sure I understand all he was doing, though. He just wanted some dudes to hang out with after the thoughtpocalypse? That he engineered? Or he assumed his underlings were going to engineer anyway, so he thought he'd gather some good company? Also, Clyde seemed like a decent guy in the Attic. I suppose that was only because he'd been in the Attic a while.
Boyd sure got his just deserts. But making him blow himself and Rossum up? Daaaaaamn.
Poor Mellie. I saw that coming as soon as she started coming to.
There were some pretty cool fight scenes in this one.
Was he imprinted with Victor?
He was just in Doll state.
I didn't think Dollhouse would make me cry, but doll!Boyd teared me right up.
I don't know if you can imprint someone with a doll. Is there a there there?
Next episode (not next week, the week after because of the Haiti telethon) is Epitaph 2, so set in the same time frame as (probably right after) Epitaph 1.
That was a twisted and messy episode. It made me uncomfortable and upset. Boyd's manipulation of person after person...just horrible. But I was still sad they sacrificed him. Isn't he a new person, wiped? Why does the body pay the price of the brain that's gone--not even backed up as far as we know?
