Jossverse 1: Emotional Resonance & Rocket Launchers

TV, movies, web media--this thread is the home for any Joss projects that don't already have their own threads, such as Dr. Horrible.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Nifty--that wasn't FX that doubled Enver in the attic--that was his twin brother Demir, I just read.

Shades of Nicholas Brendon and bro!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

What! Oh, Whedon, where do you find these people.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I caught the Demir thing in the credits. Pretty awesome.

Damn you Joss, making me miss a show I hated.

We watched on Hulu this morning.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Enver has a twin brother?!?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Joss is damned determined to go out firing on all cylinders. I liked the show well enough all the time, but now I'm really going to miss it quite a bit for its own sake, and not just its potential or its actors.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

So, there are... two of them.

I suddenly feel a little bit like Anya at The Replacement.

Also, these two episodes? HSQ. This version of Dollhouse really makes me sit at the edge of the chair. It didn't entirely won me over, though. I need a heart to this. Something's that not all mental. And as much as I'd like Enver at my side, pronto, that's not it.

But dear God, they're good. They're real... good.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Two of them?

Okay now Enver REALLY needs to be on Leverage.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Enver has a twin brother?!?

I'll be in my bunk.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I wonder what makes one Gjokaj twin go into acting and the other one into accounting. I mean, I wonder if Enver's good and math and if Demir can do accents.

I thought these episodes had heart--I don't care much about Sierra, but I quite like Priya, and whatever Anthony or Victor wants he should get. I'm not sure if I like Topher, but he interests me a great deal more than he did in the first season. He's growing. He's getting heart.

Art Crawl!!!

Yes, the characters are becoming more interesting as they go away.

A friend of mine thought that this was a bit like The Peacekeeper Wars in that we're seeing things that would probably have been developed over a longer period of time all dropped in at once.

Would the Caroline stuff have been more interesting had they been able to put hints of it in more gradually? Possibly.

Also, Ballard and the solving of the Ballard-brain thing was awful quick.
