"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Stupid goofiness. She was just a cute bland teenager. It was strange.

Yeah, I can see that. Don't know VV from a hole in the ground, but since my only prior experience with SG was when she was the ghost ballerina on Angel, I haven't exactly ever seen her play anything resembling normal. I mean, I've seen Amy Acker play semi-normal (if you squint and turn your head sideways and forgive homicidal tendencies on Alias), but not Summer, bless her way-with-the-crazy heart.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

VV was and will always be Darrien Fawkes from The Invisible Man to me, but on Dollhouse he's the icky and very dead Nolan, who stole Priya and made her into Sierra.

Oh, and Victor!Topher may be one of my favorite things ever. Probably an exaggeration, but I did make a too few many really loud guffaws during this seeing him and Real!Topher interact.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I missed the first hour because I was working late and hadn't realized DH was starting up again. Was today's showing 1 long epsiode, or did they just burn off 2 back to back?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Victor!Topher was brilliant! I love EJ. I thought his Reed Diamond was good...

Summer played pretty normal, kinda overinvested and trampy, in The Unit. No tics or genius at all.

Burning off, megan. This is the pattern for all the rest.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oh God, Enver was great. He had Topher down. I mean, everything, from the way he moved to the timbre of his voice to the way he sucked in his breath at times. That guy has amazing control of his...everything.

Huh, the blonde handler was in a couple episodes of Buffy S7. As "Young Woman."

His impersonation suffered not a whit for being right next to the real thing. He was spot on. Love.

OMG yes! It must have been very disconcerting for Fran Kranz to play those scenes. Makes the SMG/Eliza body switch impersonations seem like amateur hour now, and I was impressed by those at the time.

I did think Eliza was really good this week. But Enver needs his own series, STAT!

Art Crawl!!!

Yeah, Enver was just EXCELLENT tonight.

I know that these were two separate episodes but can you imagine having to wait a week at the end of that first hour?
