FOX had quite a lot of pilots, but they renewed all the shows they started last year (Fringe, Dollhouse, Lie To Me) instead. Yes, that's right, FOX renewed all of their dramas.

TV, movies, web media--this thread is the home for any Joss projects that don't already have their own threads, such as Dr. Horrible.
I just read that Castle also got a second season. It feels like a brave new TeeVee world.
It's a safe new TV world, that's for sure. Networks want stability, don't want risky new big expensive shows right now.
I'm wondering if all my power to jinx the prospects of quirky shows I enjoy got sucked away by watching the premiere of Viva Laughlin
"In fact, "Dollhouse" might very well be the lowest-rated in-season scripted drama to ever get a renewal on a major broadcast network."
ABC also picked up Happy Town, with Amy Acker. What does that mean for Dr. Saunders? Given that she's one of the characters I actually want to see more of in a second season!
If she's a series regular, it means she is out of Dollhouse. Dollhouse has had it's budget cut significantly, so I'm not sure if all the cast will return. They could do a Veronica-Mars style revolving door of cast per episode, I suppose.
That's what I was afraid of.
Although I have no idea what Veronica Mars has to do with a revolving door of cast per episode, as that show had just as much of a core cast as Dollhouse.
I mean... Did they have the model of 'Cast member in an episode, cast member gone for a few episodes, cast member back'? To save cost I seem to recall.
