If you take sexual advantage of her, you're going to burn in a very special level of hell. A level they reserve for child molesters and people who talk at the theater.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

When Echo was getting ready to save herself and Ballard & her handler were in pursuit, I had this glimpse of how she could save herself and not need them and what that would mean, but then there was the "handsome man saved me from the monsters" moment.

See, I liked the fact that while he had his "save the girl" moment, it was nothing like what he thought it would be.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

See, I liked the fact that while he had his "save the girl" moment, it was nothing like what he thought it would be.

Yup. Much more interesting.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Outside the Dollhouse, Paul was a total lunatic cock who couldn't see what was in front of his eyes.

Inside the Dollhouse, he's the most sane person there.

but she did save herself when she stood up to Alpha and told him to shoot the wedge. And she kept after him even when he shot her, which was pretty bad ass.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm with Vortex, I think Echo proved her ability to save herself. Ballard was more of an ally than a savior in that situation, and I thought him "saving her" by catching the chip was hysterical. Ballard is not the big damn hero he thought he was.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

When Ballard at the end asks for her name, but refuses to give his own, he gains the ability to look her up in the future, giving himself power but denying her power.

Huh. Whereas I saw that scene as him recognizing that it wasn't about him, after all, it was about her: her choices, her freedom. He didn't expect to ever see her again.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I'm with Consuela on that.
