Also AT did great comic work with Tomoah (sp?). Who sounded unnervingly like Mal and/or NF tonight. I was getting some War Stories vibes off the two of them a couple of times.
I suspect AT has the BBOC factor. As if I didn't know already...
TV, movies, web media--this thread is the home for any Joss projects that don't already have their own threads, such as Dr. Horrible.

This was also a "Come to Jesus" episode (if I can use that phrase metaphorically). Everyone who had a say of their own (as opposed to the Dolls) owned up to where they stood in things, or at least had to confront the parts they were playing in it (whether it be through denial, admittance, etc.).
Well, maybe not entirely - Topher came off really well this episode, and was tasered for the CtJ portion of it. Possibly his moment will happen later, especially since confronting Alpha seems to be his biggest fear.
That was quite surprising. Well, for me, as I was entirely unspoiled.
Although I'm already picking at the plot-logic. Why did Alpha need Ballard to get him into the Dollhouse? He already knew how to get in and how to manipulate the security system to get himself out. He didn't need Ballard, except possibly as a distraction.
This just got really interesting. Although... hmm. Assuming Echo is imprinted with Alpha's gf, that means Alpha himself has no moral qualms about the rape of the dolls. Or not enough to let it bother him.
I don't think Alpha has anything holier-than-thou in mind, but I could be wrong. Why else would have offed all those other dolls (and I assume cut up Amy Acker's character, from what we saw in their interaction tonight).
And, yeah, I think he needed Ballard as a distraction, and possibly as a scapegoat, if he'd gotten out with Caroline undetected.
I'm somewhat worried about that raising of the CO2 on the sleeping chambers - when he said best stay asleep, did he mean forever?
Yeah, major HSQ. I'm not too bothered about Alpha not really needing Ballard. Pretty clear he's not playing with a full deck. "He has hardly any deck. He has a three." Depending on how true Alpha was hewing to the designers real character, is this an indication that my guess about the Dollhouse's real goal was right? Take over the world turn it into a giant dollhouse/ eco-dystopia?
Ballard was the distraction.
whoa. Though I as guessing just before it happened, but mainly from the cues in the promo.
I really don't know where it is going next. and speculation will populate my brain.
Watching AT made me wonder what if things on Serenity had benn reversed
And quite a distraction he was!
I wonder if the 2 engagement flashbacks she had- the one where she was fighting with Ballard (and someone reprogrammed her to send a message)and when she was helping Boyd (when Alpha had been around that engagement at the very least peripherally) were specifically implanted by Alpha to ensure that she wouldn't be tempted off by Ballard once he'd gotten her free?
I am definitely looking forward to next week's episode. God, Alan Tudyk was hilarious. Until he wasn't.
Next week is the finale. Which may be series or season. And it's a Tim episode. Hmm.
Okay, Enver Gjokaj is FUCKING AMAZING. I actually considered the possibility that they had dubbed in Reed Diamond's voice. That was freaky.
And I had no idea Alan Tudyk could be so crazy and scary. I'm glad I wasn't spoiled for that at all. No idea that was coming.
When was Whiskey mentioned? I missed that. I was very tired.

God, I know! That entire scene was IN. TENSE.
When was Whiskey mentioned?
It was mentioned by Victor-as-Laurence right before Claire injected him with something to calm him down (the first injection of the 2 administered.)
