Yeah. It'll bomb bigger next week as it moves to 8pm since less people watch then, so it should be well below Terminator numbers. The question is if Dollhouse can hold up anyway.
Jossverse 1: Emotional Resonance & Rocket Launchers
TV, movies, web media--this thread is the home for any Joss projects that don't already have their own threads, such as Dr. Horrible.
Chicago Tribune has easily the best interview with Joss about Dollhouse I've read: [link]
You need to scroll to about 2/5ths through, about a page down from the video for the full transcript. Don't read the very bottom, marked spoilers in the episode descriptions.
New Dollhouse day. I'm very happy to be looking forward to it rather than just feeling a sense of obligation.
I hope they get a second season if they can make the first few episodes of the first season feel like necessary setup in context, rather than an "is this all there is?" slog.
I came in on Topher and Boyd talking about a diagnostic for someone? And adele and echo talking about echo having been sort of given a personality of one person. Did I miss anything major?
Watched from the beginning, but just logging in. I take it you caught up. I'm rather bored with the Margaret story and wish they would spend more time with Topher and Sierra.
I came in late... I get that Echo is a now-deceased friend of Adelle's who was having frequent brain scans (hence the recent imprint), but is Sierra imprinted with another Topher?
He told Echo's handler he needed a subject for some super high-tech diagnostic, and instead he made himself a little friend.
It is the first time I have found Topher not annoying.
The frequent brain scans were related to her paranoia over someone being out to get her??? I missed that bit of logic.
Yes, so she would have an up to date back up. I actually really liked this episode.
I really found myself not caring much about the A plot. It was interesting and, in the end, poignant, but here's me, not caring. It was an episode of Law & Order. Not mythology/arc driven, and really, not character driven either. There were minute moments where there was character stuff. But it was paltry.
