Dominic was the inside guy!
He was AN inside guy. I don't think he was THE inside guy. I don't believe he was the one sending messages to Paul.

I don't know that he is. The secret imprints seem to be trying to bring down the Dollhouse, while the NSA seemed to by trying to control it.
I'm starting to think Adelle may be doing the secret imprinting. She obviously had some way to put something into Victor's programming that Topher wasn't aware of. And I got the impression that she's the only one who knows about Millie/November's sleeper persona.
I agree. I don't think it is possible he was helping Paul. I do now wonder if the doctor is a doll.
BTW, I took one look at Echo's new handler and I said to Beau: maybe it is our tv, but I could SWEAR he is wearing a red shirt.
I agree that Dominic wasn't the imprint-altering inside person. That's a whole other person, who hasn't yet been revealed. Dominic was an inside person working for the NSA.
Which I find interesting, because that means that the NSA knows about the Dollhouse and has no real need to shut it down, as long as they have someone on the inside.
This episode impressed me with its ability to repeatedly pull off something I totally didn't see coming, but which worked perfectly (like DeWitt being the one having the repeat engagements with Victor -- and how sad was that??? -- and Dominic being a mole, but not THE mole).
Finally, you shouldn't fence without a damn mask. Jesus.
he's not the one who was sending the secret messages to Paul. There's still someone else.
That's what I had a hard time parsing out. I'm going to blame it on the structure of the show today. It took me a couple of restarts to realize we were doing the non-linear thing like Out of Gas. I couldn't put the Mellie reveal into place with what we found out about Dominic. I jump to so many conclusions with this kind of stuff, I just wasn't willing to take that entire leap, tonight.

true, but why would she be trying to bring down the Dollhouse?
And I got the impression that she's the only one who knows about Millie/November's sleeper persona.
no, she's not. she told Paul that their sleeper active performed perfectly after Mellie killed rapist!handler.
I felt really bad for Paul when he found out that mellie was an active. I think that he genuinely liked and cared for her.

I was looking at their exposed shoulders and sexy arms thinking, "there's arteries there".

I didn't base my judgment on that, but on what Dom was saying to Adelle. He doesn't want the Dollhouse shut down, but he wants it controlled and restricted. And he pointed out that if it wasn't for him, Ballard would be that much more closer to bringing down the Dollhouse. That doesn't fit with "I command you with this doll to find out the Dollhouses purpose, oh crazy person obsessed with bringing it down".
I really find it fascinating that as much as Dominic has tried to kill Echo and send her to the attic, she is the first person he thinks of when speaking of who has been harmed by the Dollhouse. It's a weird dichotomy of him knowing Caroline has been wronged and killed and hating/taunting the body that houses the doll that is Echo. Between knowing what was done to Caroline was wrong, and having no feelings for Echo. Dominic drew a line, and Echo and her imprints are not people deserving of a jot of sympathy or compassion, and Caroline is to be mourned.
Puts a new light on his drug induced apology about trying to kill her, as well as his trying to kill her in defense of the dollhouse.
Really, i didn't think he cared about her that much. Was just obligated to her because he pulled her into this shit. Now he's kinda stuck.

Regardless of whether or not he was falling in love with her, he trusted her. He thought she was kind, sweet, and REAL. I think all of this is going to make him much more paranoid in the future and probably make him sound even crazier to people.
