A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

I adore the FBDO, but it's not about Ferris! You're supposed to feel that way about Ferris, because Cameron feels that way about Ferris, and it's a movie about Cameron!
I <3 Cameron.
Definitely Running Scared!! How did I forget that one?
Between the car chase on the L tracks and the frackin' awesome finale in the State of Illinois building's atrium, it does a great job of showing off parts of the city you don't see elsewhere.
Speaking of L tracks... I would add Wanted to the list.
eta Spider-Man 2
how about a great Pittsburgh movie? Innocent Blood.
I saw a Pixar person at our Little League game the other day, and she'd just come back from a screening of Up.
She said it great, and very moving. Poignant.
(And no, she doesn't love them all just because her husband works there.)

Yes! "Hey, he lives in Fox Chapel! Crime pays well!"
Guys who make their too-young sons watch Wolverine should be poked repeatedly with very pointy sticks. A boy walked out of the last show in tears and now there's a dad in the hallway trying to get his kid to go back in. "What if I cover your ears?" wtf Dad?
I love Innocent Blood.
Chicago = High Fidelity...Cusack flavor.
Entering Woody Allen conversation belatedly. I did like Woody before he tried to be Bergman - his early funny ones like "Sleeper". I though Scoop was a successful attempt to return to that - [moderately] inspired silliness with no attempt at profundity.
