Entering Woody Allen conversation belatedly. I did like Woody before he tried to be Bergman - his early funny ones like "Sleeper". I though Scoop was a successful attempt to return to that - [moderately] inspired silliness with no attempt at profundity.

I like "Radio Days" and "Alice" for his post-Bergman work. Although I've never seen Purple Rose of Cairo or Hannah and Her Sisters, which I've heard are excellent.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

How could I forget High Fidelity ? Awesome bridge scene.

Filmed (eta: the movie, not the scene) in my neighborhood!

We drove home after seeing it, and quite by accident discovered we'd parked directly in front of a building that was used in exterior shots.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Although I've never seen Purple Rose of Cairo or Hannah and Her Sisters, which I've heard are excellent.

I think those are two of his best movies.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I wish Memphis' classic movie events would bring Annie Hall to the Orpheum. I'm holding out to see that on a big screen.

Heh. I'm old enough to have seen it on a big screen on its original run. I even remember the exact theater.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

So, I saw "Wolverine" tonight. IMO, this is not a good movie. I thought the script was quite poor, not enough Jackman naked or half naked, and there are plot points that make NO sense.

If you are so inclined, you should stay through all of the credits, there are two bonus scenes after the end of the movie.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

A mom walked out of Wolverine with her 7 year-old and pointed to me and the box office cashier saying, "those two ladies have seen it and they both think it's too violent for a seven-year-old"

I started to say, "I haven't-"

and she shushed me like Cesar Milan, "shht- You've seen it ."
