Why isn't there a t-shirt that says "Push the button, Max!"?
I gotta assume MST3K stole "Push the button, Frank!" from TGR.
Truly Jack Lemmon's evil laugh has never been topped.
While he's done a ton of comedy, I don't think he's ever done anything as gloriously silly (counting both of the roles he played, of course).
Ross Martin's presence in the movie makes me think in another life Lemmon would have made a great Artemus Gordon.
I saw Tarzan through the neighbor's sliding glass door when I was about 9 (there were about 4 kids with me, and we were all breathless to see nudity, but it was diappointing and fleeting.)
Porky's was the first "real" R movie at about 9; Poltergeist was also about 9, and it freaked my shit about closets to...today. I can sleep with a closet door open, but if I really NOTICE it, I have to close it.

See, that's what I'm saying about
the Great Race.
You've got the awesome gothicky Fate mansion, and Fate himself, and then you've got a ton of steampunk elements. And Natalie Wood's costumes. And the hoYay between Fate and Max. I'd love to see a Weta version of the movie, but I'm so scared of potential modern casting choices, and it's not like there's any way to improve on Edwards' movie.
Clooney would make an awesome Leslie. That's about the only Hollywood-approved bit of casting I could see happening. Who'd get cast as Fate and Max is the really terrifying question.
Jim Carrey and Mike Myers.
And maybe Megan Fox as Maggie.
Eddie Izzard as Professor Fate.
Sam Rockwell as Max.
Amy Adams as Maggie.
Sam Rockwell has lost me as of Iron Man II. I think his needle has been stuck on "George Bush impression" since he did HHGttG, and there are a very limited range of contexts in which I can stomach that.

Really? Did you see Moon?
