On Friday TCM will be showing the following movies in order. Can you figure out the connection between these films?
Gildersleeve on Broadway (1943)
Four Jacks and a Jill (1941)
Mister Cinderella (1936)
Thoroughbreds Don't Cry (1937)
13 Ghosts (1960)
Hint:
focus on the actors.

I don't have a clue, I haven't seen any of them.

It helps if you're scrolling through the Tivo listings and spy the lead in most of the movies. They all add up to the cast of another (very famous) movie.
Also on TCM, I nabbed the film noir
His Kind of Woman
which I'd never seen and didn't know that much about.
But, you know, it's got Robert Mitchum and Jane Russell in their prime so that's well worth space on my TiVo hard drive.
Turns out, it's a really odd movie.
So imagine a sultry noir set in a Mexican resort with goons and mobsters and Mitchum and Russell and shoot it through with numerous scenes of Vincent Price as a hammy Shakespearean actor comic relief.
That does sound odd
I'm watching
Come Undone (Presque Rien)
it keeps jumping around in time & I'm confused but I'm sticking with it.
I think I watched that when I was planning my Gender & Sexuality in French Film class, but I have no memory of it.
I made it almost to the end and fell asleep, then woke up just before the credits. I don't feel like rewatching to see if I missed the part where it all came together. Even the hot guy on guy action was bleak.

That sounds like most of the films I screened for my Gender & Sexuality in French Film class.
