"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Also on TCM, I nabbed the film noir His Kind of Woman which I'd never seen and didn't know that much about.

But, you know, it's got Robert Mitchum and Jane Russell in their prime so that's well worth space on my TiVo hard drive.

Turns out, it's a really odd movie.

So imagine a sultry noir set in a Mexican resort with goons and mobsters and Mitchum and Russell and shoot it through with numerous scenes of Vincent Price as a hammy Shakespearean actor comic relief.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

That does sound odd

I'm watching Come Undone (Presque Rien) it keeps jumping around in time & I'm confused but I'm sticking with it.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I think I watched that when I was planning my Gender & Sexuality in French Film class, but I have no memory of it.

I made it almost to the end and fell asleep, then woke up just before the credits. I don't feel like rewatching to see if I missed the part where it all came together. Even the hot guy on guy action was bleak.

That sounds like most of the films I screened for my Gender & Sexuality in French Film class.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

On Friday TCM will be showing the following movies in order.

Also, Success at any Price and Flying High.

(and it's Friday, July 2, not this Friday)

Ann, that's a ferret.

And if the original cast had stayed, Mister Cinderella could have been replaced by, say, Broadway Melody of 1938.
