Jayne: Yeah, that was some pretty risky sittin' you did there. Wash: That's right, of course, 'cause they wouldn't arrest me if we got boarded, I'm just the pilot. I can always say I was flying the ship by accident.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

I dig the trailer, it looks like a fun movie, but it does beg the question:

What the fuck does Kato need the Green Hornet for? Kato builds all the stuff, drives all the time, and kicks all the ass. What does the Hornet, you know...do?!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah, that was bugging me.

People know about the Batman / Green Hornet crossover TV show during the '60s, right? Bruce Lee (playing Kato) was mad that he was supposed to lose in a fight with Robin. They ended up changing to to a draw.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm assuming Kato needs the bankroll.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

from imdb

Bruce Lee once said that he was selected for the role of Kato because he was the only Asian actor who could properly pronounce "Britt Reid".

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Seth co-wrote the script, so that's why he's in it. A friend who worked on it (and who is a huge comics geek) said Seth and Evan were very committed and really wanted to get things right. They were always on set and very collaborative and involved--in a good, passionate about making a good movie way. There were apparently issues with Gondry and everyone else. He is used to more personal films and did not enjoy the Big Budget Movie process, and who can blame him. It will be interesting to see how it works onscreen.

What does "get things right" mean? It's not in the tone of the TV show, which I understand was more camp than the radio serials.

I was weak.

And stupid.

In a moment of motherly love (and trying to make my daughter smile), I agreed to go to the midnight showing Eclipse next week. Tickets were bought and now I've just realized I'm not only going to have to deal with the squeeeeling teenager girls - but squeeling women MY AGE.

Not enough booze in the world. If you don't hear from me next Wednesday - this is why.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Darling, this doesn't call for BOOZE; get your drugs right!

Take .5 mgs of Xanax, .5 mgs of Ambien and 2 Tums. Insert earbuds. Anti-anxiety, mild hypnotic and an anti-naseuant.

Jason Momoa as Conan.

Call me shallow (no, seriously--do it), but I am so there.
