Spike: Lots of fuss over one girl. Other things to do around here--important things. Angel: You know that whoosh thing you do when you're suddenly not there anymore? I love that.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

It's funny, I never slept with totems when I was young, but as an adult, I can't sleep without Oliver, the squid

You have a plush squid? A cephalopod neighbour? I approve. Were I to have a plush squid in my possession, I would name him "The Notorious Squiddie Smalls". (We're very 'street' here in Melbourne, you know.)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

In spite of the 10-minute sobfest, it IS a happy ending. But it's happy in that special Pixar way that means you'll cry for 10 minutes anyway.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

You guys, seriously?

Oh yeah, that was awesome. I only asked because there were many awesome callbacks.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I had a blankie that became a tattered and knotted length of rag. I keep thinking I've gotten rid of it and then it turns up so it might be around here somewhere. I'll probably find it when I move. I also have a Yakko who travels with me but I've only had him since I was in my late twenties.

brillig

The bed is full of stuffed wolves that Hubby finds in thrift stores. They make good pillows, and I occasionally grab one if I need something squishy to sleep on.

Compassionately intolerant

You have a plush squid?
Yes. Yes, I do. I named him Oliver before I realized he has only 5 appendages. I like Squiddie Smalls...I should have thought longer and harder about his name, given his importance in my life!

A cephalopod neighbour?
I wish.

move out and draw fire

The bed is full of stuffed wolves that Hubby finds in thrift stores

Mal's BFF is a stuffed wolf. Named Wolfie. Mal was sobbing and miserable and strapped into his stroller, but managed to grab Wolfie out of a bin in the NMAI. He buried his snot- and tear-covered face in Wolfie's side, and clutched him like crazy, so we had to buy Wolfie.

To this day, Mal sleeps with his head pillowed on Wolfie.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Dylan sleeps with his arms around ALL of his stuffed animals and however many books happen to be in bed with him at the time. He claims this is so the monsters don't steal them.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

He's a smarty-pants!
