"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Unfortunately, baseball season just ended so I don't have access to my inside Pixar source.

And by "baseball season" I mean, Emmett's regular season. He'll still be playing on a tourney team all summer, including two double headers this weekend out by Diablo Valley College. Yeeesh.

Is school over for Emmett yet?

Underrated Sixties Beauties

I'm not sure Charlotte counts as underrated. In fact, I think there was a period in the 70s where she would have been called overexposed (in many senses). Granted, she seemed to disappear for a long stretch after that, but she also made a bit of comeback recently as well.

One thing I'll always lover her for: she made a great Avengers appearance, and was pretty much an Emma substitute (until Emma showed up later in the episode).

As Hana Wilde, in The Superlative Seven.

(Also with Brian Blessed and Donald Sutherland.)

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

On P-C's rec, I watched Josie & the Pussycats today. That was way better than it deserved to be. Although the "ironic" product placement was a bit much.

Bonus: It passes the Bechdel Rule!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Bonus: It passes the Bechdel Rule!

Huh. I should watch that.

Double-bonus - Oz sings "Backdoor Lover"!

I love that the prefab boy band is named Du Jour.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Right?? Glad you liked it too!

Although the "ironic" product placement was a bit much.

The funny part is that they didn't actually receive any money for any of it. They did it For the Irony.

Bonus: It passes the Bechdel Rule!

With flying colors!

I love that the prefab boy band is named Du Jour.

"Du Jour means family!"
