And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

What the io9 review fails to mention is that Marmaduke is also a 2-hour long episode of The OC, if The OC were about dogs.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

From the io9 review:

the moviegoer never sees Marmaduke in a pimp hat.

Well, fuck that, then. If they can't give me a great dane in a pimp hat, I have no use for the movie.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I bet you can have a dalmatian in a pimp hat any time you want!

...and of course I just got the Mr. Trick quote at the top of the page. Magic!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Huh.

The magic is over: Harry Potter has finished production

Two days ago, director David Yates shouted "cut!" after the very last shot of the very last Harry Potter film — and one of the most profitable, beloved film series in Hollywood history has officially wrapped.

According to Warwick Davis — who played Professor Flitwick in the saga based on J.K. Rowling's novels — this weekend marked the last time that, barring any unforeseen future cash-grabs, cameras would roll on a Harry Potter film.

eta:

The world at large will be winding up to a more grandiose farewell to Harry, Hermione, Ron, and the whole gang over the next 13 months, between the Nov. 19, 2010 release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and the July 15, 2011 release of Deathly Hallows, Part 2.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Last night, watching the Tonys, I was surprised at how short Dan Rad was when he presented next to Katie Holmes. Did not fit my mental picture of him.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I saw a picture of that. I didn't think she was THAT tall either, and I totally did not think of DR as short. Very weird.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Katie Holmes is pretty tall, isn't she?

For whatever imdb is worth, Katie is listed at 5'9" and Dan at 5'8". I guess if you put heels on her, she would tower over him. And Dan is still taller than Tom Cruise (5'7").
