brillig

It's dark and cluttered and everyone is sad and crazy.

I think that's the point.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It gives me claustrophobia. It's dark and cluttered and everyone is sad and crazy.

And I wanted to live in that world. Probably why I moved to San Francisco.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Yeah, I can't imagine wanting to live there.

Speaking of sad and crazy, I finally watched Let the Right One In. I chose the English subtitles and they seemed fine. Afterwards, I saw the examples on the web and, as someone who has seen hundreds of foreign films with subtitles, I don't see what the fuss is about.

And you'd lived in Boston, David? Which part was missing from that combo, in your opinion?

Compassionately intolerant

Bladerunner is on. What a depressing movie.

I thought the movie was depressing until I read the book. Electric Sheep made me want to open a vein. For reals.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Me, too, bonny!

I thought it was interesting that BBCA chose to broadcast the theatrical release instead of the later Director's cut.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Deathly Hallows trailer that aired during the MTV movie awards.

Not Asian enough.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

ita,

I appreciate the link, but after they fucked up so badly with the 6th HP movie, I feel a lot of trepidation with the conclusion of the series. I don't know how they are going to fix the problems that the 6th movie introduced.

at least I know they didn't change the ending.

I didn't even remember there were 6 movies. I am so out of it. I'm pretty sure I only skipped #2. Maybe #3. I'm a bad, bad fan.
