Oh, yeah. There was this time I was pinned down by this guy that played left tackle for varsity... Well, at least he used to before he was a vampire... Anyway, he had this really, really thick neck, and all I had was a little, little Exact-O knife ... You're not loving this story.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Kareen Abdul-Jabaar is on TCM now as a guest programmer.

He's a Raymond Chandler fan.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

BTW someone in Natter pointed out that Jeremy Renner played Penn on Angel, which completely blew by me at the time.

That's why I was so sure the gay rumors were true despite not knowing anything about the actor! It wasn't gaydar, it was residual HoYay from Angel leaving a subconscious impression!

ita, can you believe that the posters at a comic nerd-y mesage board I frequent are bemoaning the casting of Evans as a gravitas-free prettyboy, as opposed to their choice for the role... Ryan Phillipe?

I am willing to extend some benefit of the doubt to Ryan Phillippe, more than most people, but gravitas-free prettyboy definitely makes me think of him before Chris. At least Chris has done stuff like Sunshine. I'm glad Chris is pretty, but damn, Consider the resumes.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

At least Chris has done stuff like Sunshine.

That's the ONLY thing I've seen him in, and he was damn good in it. Talk about your painful endings though. Ouch AND BRRRRRRR!!!!

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I still can't believe they went all method and actually had freezing water, and the multiple takes. Cruel, cruel Danny Boyle.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Huh. Yeah, the AtS connection does explain the nagging familiarity. He just looks a lot more butch and wholesome these days.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

So I came across this movie while looking at our new releases. Probably not my style, but reading up on it, it seems some horror/black comedy fans here might like it. [link]

Here's a good rant: I Demand Better Vampires!

I think it's a really bad idea to watch so little of an established series (two episodes of a two season run, really?) and get upset about the depiction of the vampires in it. Because on one hand, she's wrong like a wrong thing in wrong panties.
