Saw AdventureLand last night and really liked it. Funny and romantic with wonderfully complex and beleivable characters and relationships. And they really use the amusement park setting.
I've heard good things about the movie, unexpectedly. I am intrigued since it looked kind of stupid.
We watched
Quarrantine
over the weekend, and I was pleasantly surprised by it. It was creepy, and the notion that all of this was being recorded by a news crew stuck in the situation really worked. And did I mention creepy? In fact, my only quibble with it is that the trailer blows the end of the movie.
I don't know why I thought this, because I don't know Watchmen, but I was reading your descriptions and I thought: Lance White, the super-perfect hero PI played by unknown Tom Selleck on the Rockford Files. Lance is hot but chaste, the world owes him a favor cause he saved everybody's life and the cops love him...I love those episodes.
Not one, but two Easter Bunny movies are in the works. No eggsaggeration
Sony Animation is pre-emptively picking up Hip Hop, in which the Easter Bunny decides to retire and hides out as a pet with a suburban family, turning their lives upside down. The tone is being described as along the lines of Alvin and the Chipmunks and The Santa Clause.
At the same time, Illumination Entertainment purchased I Hop to act as its first live-action picture. In it, the Easter Bunny is hit by a car driven by a slacker. When the bunny can't hop because his leg is broken, the driver must train to take over the job and save Easter.
Jilli - any word on when the Clovis movie is coming out?
Jilli - any word on when the Clovis movie is coming out?
... no. I think we need to do a Clovis book, first, and the Devilbunny keeps muttering that there aren't enough cookies OR zombies in the book, and then he sulks.

I think it needs to be a Clovis comic ... that seems the quickest route to world domination movie optioning.
I think it needs to be a Clovis comic
And means an effectively unlimited stream of zombies AND cookies.
I saw Watchmen today. That was about three different movies, and I think one of them was really good.
I can't agree with people who think the giant psychic squid plotline should have been put in there on top of all that, and what else was there to lose to make room for it and still make any sort of point like the book?
Because I think it made a similar point, just weaker.
