Illyria: We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief? Wesley: There's love. There's hope...for some. There's hope that you'll find something worthy...that your life will lead you to some joy...that after everything...you can still be surprised. Illyria: Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

My copy of the Alice In Wonderland Visual Companion showed up yesterday. I ... wow, that's a really average fantasy movie plot, with some Victorian Grrl Power thrown on. It looks pretty, tho'

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

It’s a Wonderful Life is a time-travel movie?

I'd call it an AU movie, rather than a time-travel one, despite the mostly flashback structure of the first half.

Hey. New board.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

  • Bill & Ted
  • Terminator 2
  • Galaxy Quest (nominally)

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I just rememebred Time Bandits.

Horrifying movie! Was actually on our list of non-horror scary movies!
