Zoe: Preacher, don't the Bible have some pretty specific things to say about killing? Book: Quite specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

You should give The Living Daylights another try.

Will do.

Hec, We used to have Burritos and Bond as a Sunday tradition for a while.

When I moved to Boston in the mid-80s the Harvard Rep Cinema used to have Bond double features regularly on their schedule. This was back in the pre-VCR days (well, they existed but weren't that widespread yet), and they always had packed houses. It was a blast.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I loved Sean Bean in GoldenEye. It's one of my favourites of his roles.

Xenia Onatop! God, I love Famke

She was so good I was hoping they'd find a way to bring her back. Smashing into a tree was ambiguous enough that they could have rigged her up in some kind of mechanical device. Granted, bringing Jaws back didn't work out so well...

Jaws was the least of Moonraker's problems.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Razzie Nominations 2010: The Year's AND Decade's WORST Of Film

All three Jonas brothers shared a worst-actor nomination for "Jonas Brothers: The 3-D Concert Experience." Razzie voters also included "any two (or more)" Jonas brothers in the category for worst screen couple.

As much as I love Famke I didn't love the translation of the sex-hungry femme fatale into more contemporary times. Just wasn't working for me.

No that's very true, but he certainly didn't help.

I'm just grateful she wasn't redeemed by Bond's "love".

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

I will never quite fully forgive the Onion commenter who referred to Adrian Grenier as "the world's oldest Jonas brother" because there is a resemblance, damn it, and I'd rather not think about it.I don't find it overwhelming or anything, but I can't un-see it either.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Am bored and trying to avoid work. Back when I first got online, I think about 15 years ago (which might or might not have been pre-IMDb), I wasted a lot of time playing "guess the common character different actors/actresses have played" game. They could be from multiple literary adaptations, from a remake, famous historical characters, or someone iconic/abstract. Movies, TV series, animation -- anything goes. For example:

Jean Simmons and Gwyneth Paltrow = Estella from Great Expectations
Helen Mirren and Glenda Jackson = Elizabeth I
George Burns and Morgan Freeman = God.

The fun would be trying to guess the answer without going to IMDb or wikipedia, although nobody would know if we cheated.

Anyone game?
