Oh I am with you, in general, ita. There are extremely few dvds that I want to own; Mad Men and 30 Rock are among the exceptions. It's infuriating that the dvd extras aren't being included on the rentals.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.
I have a fair amount of DVDs. I have DVDs I've never watched. But I also have a Netflix queue with over 350 discs and 90+ in the instant view queue. They are totally separate pursuits.
I'm curious to know if this will make a difference to their bottom line--it probably doesn't make a significant difference to their production costs to not include them, so it's all about strongarming the consumer into buying. But I just don't see it working.

Nope. It's got a lot of actors that I've liked in different movies at different times, slogging through a lot of crap dialogue.
