Sorry, Cor! I loved the Lebowski link and thought it should immediately be staged at the nearest RenFaire.
There's been some critical argument that 2009 is the greatest year ever in the history of feature animation. One list is persuasive.

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Just got back from seeing An Education at the Bridge, which is my new favorite theater.
The movie was fascinating and thoroughly enjoyable. All the performances were spot on (although so many of the actors being vaguely familiar to me was a bit distracting).
I had to look it up on IMDb while watching to figure it out. Rosamund Pike! Alfred Molina!
Re Green Acres: Must have missed that one. Was it completely horrendous?
Was it completely horrendous?
Oh lord yes.

Basically they all seemed to be in one of the BBC Jane Austens. Willoughby I recognized right away, but I was surprised that Helen turned out to be Jane Bennett.
Green Acres is actually a pretty funny show, a spin off of Petticoat Junction. Just not exactly female empowering.
The Catalog of Cool loved Green Acres, though admittedly they considered the entire show to be surreal.

I knew her from Doom.
My all-time favorite Bewitched episode is airing today, the one where Serena gets Boyce & Hart to play at the Witch's Cotillion. [link] Although, I've been really annoyed the last few times I've seen it aired -- the network edits out a good chunk of the scene where Serena sings "her" song "Blow You a Kiss in the Wind".
