If you liked Thank You for Smoking, you will like Up in the Air. If you did not like Thank You for Smoking, you...still may like Up in the Air, since it's less cynical and has more heart.

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. I'm surprised that no one's posted about Fantastic Mr. Fox. I saw it Thanksgiving day and loved it! The detail was remarkable, the voice performances excellent, and the story was strong with a satisfying but not-too-cloyingly-sweet ending.

I haven't seen it yet, but I really want to. However, I need to see Where the Wild Things Are first, since it will be gone from theaters shortly.

Chiming in way late on worst moviegoing experience...
Congo. Tod's sitting on the left, Dave's in the middle, I'm on the right. It is awful. I turn to Dave and whisper, "this is terrible, let's go." Dave turns to Tod & then back to me, "Tod likes it, he wants to stay." In pain I sit through the whole thing and then, walking out, I turn on Tod, "I can't believe you liked it!" "Like it? I told Dave I wanted to walk out!"
