Just because the writer hasn't watched Carbonell in anything doesn't make him unknown. He's not big, but he's not new.
I think he was saying that they should cast an unknown instead of NC.
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Lack of reading comprehension on my part. I'm guessing, then, that the known that this author has for NC is pretty recent.
The number one reason I'd think Batmanuel would get cast in the next Trek is because he was on Lost. (I think he's got plenty of drama to play a more, you know, normal Khan.)
Karl Urban (whose Eomer in the Lord of the Rings trilogy was over half a decade ago)
My god, half a decade ago!
hahaha. I thought the same thing.
My god, half a decade ago!
Fuckin' has-been!
God, what is he? Twelve? I should go into the comments in full Ari mode and tell him to write another article when his testicles drop. I probably won't really do it, but it's fun to imagine.

Christmas hasn't been the same since.
I guess the rule is, if you acted in two major franchises of the decade, you are unknown; if you starred in a major series, you are unknown; but if you acted in one major franchise and one major series, you can't be Khan. Right?
I imagine they didn't get The Tick and Suddenly Susan over there, but the misconception of NC is pretty hilarious.
erika, please go in full Ari mode. this would entertain me greatly, not that you must perform for me! :-)
