mmm. Bai Ling made dumplings in the first section of Three Extremes.
Ick.
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Saw Watchmen again last night.
I did like it better, although I still think more skilled editing and sound use could have been used. Several songs were far louder than the rest of the movie and ripped me out of the story. They still felt tacked on and badly integrated, if at all.

Jamie Earle Haley broke my fucking heart at the end.
I wouldn't be surprised if they announced they accidentally released the picture with a temporary soundtrack.
Watchmen had a 67% drop - this weekend it brought in $18 mill.
wow.
eta: I was thinking, I would love to see them release a "cut your own" kit. It would probably have to be a hard-drive with dailies and pre-effects stuff, and soundtrack and whatever, but it would be really cool.
(and I think it could be cut to work a lot better)
Beaten by a 70's kids sf remake starring Dwayne "formerly The Rock" Johnston.

Hee. The scene I saw them shooting was where they're in a horse-drawn carriage.
