Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

One. Audition, of course. Twice now.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Amy is me.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm really curious about Audition, but if I see it I can't unsee it and I'm afraid I might want to. Me and horror, it's not a happy relationship.

Because books.

Audition has an interesting premise, but I can't watch torture like that. Misery was about as much torture as I can handle.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I saw Last Days of Disco, and Audition is in my voluminous "to be watched" pile.

Now that I think of it, I picked up Last Days when it got released by Criterion, so I own that one too.

Hey. New board.

I've seen Adventureland.

I want to see Audition, but I also don't want to.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Zombieland made me want to check out Adventureland, seriously, because the actor is just that good.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

He reminded me of a taller Michael Cera. But I've heard good things about Adventureland.

I saw Funny Games last night. It was...strange. And not as interesting as I'd hoped. The meta moments didn't elevate the film above its base premise.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Last Days of Disco is the only one from that list I've seen, and I've not only watched it multiple times but also own the soundtrack.

I just don't think I'm made of stern enough stuff to enjoy Audition.

Because books.

I thought Columbus *was* Michael Cera for a few minutes. Oops. But yeah, I wanted to see Adventureland when it came out, and just didn't get there. I really liked the look of it.

I thought about putting that one in our queue but the reviews turned me off. Plus, I didn't love the fact that their kid is there for the whole thing, apparently? Some things I can't watch easily.
