I am the thing without feathers.
'Same Time, Same Place'
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
What color are your feathers?
I am the thing without feathers.

Patrick Swayze has died.
Whoa, I missed that bit of news.
I really liked Sunshine Cleaning.
It didn't seem to me that much of what happened had anything to do with what they deserved. Life happens, as does death, and it's good to have people around to help you through both.
I saw 9 yesterday. There were parts of it that were ok, but frankly I could not get over the whole premise. To know that the world is going to hell, and then to create things that will have to live in that hell while you yourself are gone and don't, I find that unbelievably vain, selfish and cruel.
Oops, wrong thread.
I saw a commercial for Disney's rerelease of Toy Story 1 and 2, only this time they're in 3D. They're only going to be in theaters for two weeks, starting October 2, and tickets are being sold for the doublefeature.
I think I remember a werewolf comedy where the goth girl was the responsible one. Though the doofus younger brother saved the day in the end.
Also, can we please never ever have another movie where the quirky girl who dresses in black and doesn't wear (much) makeup suddenly gets a makeover and dresses all conventionally and then gets the guy?
Well, in "Drive Me Crazy" they did the same plot with a rebellious dude...but he looked better before the makeover too. Also, no more shopping montages, no matter what music they're set to.
