re: District 9 and the gore: sure there was the scifi type, which, yeah, not so bad, although gross. What got me was the chewing on the nail and the falling out teeth and the chopping of appendages.

Am I terribly late on getting on the "Chris Evans is hot" train? He did nothing for me in Fantastic Four, was intrigued by him in Sunshine, and I can't even recall what flipped the switch to WANT. But I just watched Push (wonderful character torture) and Street Kings (as Colin Farrel was to Minority Report) in quick succession. I want more.

The scene where the "Four Leaf" character was introduced, with Nick Nolte peeling an orange with his hand hooks, silhouetted against sunlight through slatted louvers, Stiller said, "And that's his Quint moment."
