Huh. I still haven't seen Jaws, although I did read the Reader's Digest Condensed Book version of the novel (my mom got those).
I'm pretty sure that part wasn't in the book, but I'm not sure. I think that was the first flowering of Spielberg's WWII obsession showing.

!!! It's like I don't even know you, tommyrot!
I am on record (well, the BRQG, which is "record," right?) as hating Quint's long, harrowing story of the Indianapolis;
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's one of the best parts of the movie!

I think seeing
Jaws 3 in 3D
first kinda' turned me off of the idea....

A worse idea than seeing Aliens 3 or Alien Resurrection before the first two.
Hell, Jaws 2 sucked ass as well. Yet another movie that never, EVER needed a sequel.
A worse idea than seeing Aliens 3 or Alien Resurrection before the first two.
I have it on good authority that
Aliens 3
is one of the best horror movies of the last 20 years.
A worse idea than seeing Aliens 3 or Alien Resurrection before the first two.
I think I saw
Alien 3
before the first two. I really liked it.
Which is the aliens movie that was the AIDS allegory?
I could not finish that one.
Which is the aliens movie that was the AIDS allegory?
I hope it's the second one, because that would be one seriously screwed up perspective on AIDS.
On the one hand, the idea of Paul Bettany playing an angel with automatic weapons is very hot. On the other hand the jerky stop-motionesque animation in the red band Legion trailer is exactly the sort of movement I find the creepiest in horror flicks. Other than the swarming sea of rats.
BT - definitely not the 2nd one. I love that movie and saw it multiple times.
It is the Alien movie where an alien gets in a cat or dog and the alien comes out looking extra weird as a result. Washed out colors. Not the aliens with Wynona Ryder.
