I another another HP question. In Order of the Phoenix, did they cut out the part of the prophecy about how it could have been Neville who was the chosen one? Because he was barely in this movie, and I wondered what role would be left for him in the final movie.

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
no shit, Sue.
I was actually pretty pissed at the treatment of Neville. I think the character deserves a lot more respect than what he got in the movie. I really like Neville and felt for him as a result of book 5 and I feel like he was really mistreated in this movie - given future events.
ITA about Neville. A fraking WAITER?!?! What asshole did they pull that out of??
Yeah, that really ticked me off, too. Although JKR did give Neville short shrift in the HBP book, it wasn't quite that bad.
He was also in Slughorn's class, which is a big mistake in terms of Neville but was obviously just done to give him a few more seconds of airtime.
Airbender live action/drawing comparison. Nice how Dev's playing the lightest-skinned of the 4.

Oh, the fail. Just looking at them makes me faintly sick with anger. And words cannot express how profoundly those last two in particular are NOT Katara or Sokka. I'm sure they're nice kids and fine actors, but they are fundamentally not those two characters.

This is going to be another one of those movie adaptations I have to pretend never happened, isn't it?
He's got a nifty screenplay about Pablo Escobar, too. (No, that joke never gets old. Even for fandoms I don't know.)
I think HP6 was the most successful movie so far in terms of tone, and possibly the least successful in terms of story. I feel like there is so much book canon missing now that the last two movies will have to be severely retconned or flashbacked to make anything work quite right.
But thank god an HP movie was actually FUNNY! I laughed so much!
Movie!Ginny is very much not my Ginny though. Where's the fire of our fiery redhead?
