Other than in that movie, that bit is always going to be hilarious to me the way it's been co-opted for comedic purposes.
Also, the dog still freaks me out even when I'm expecting it.
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

I am pretty sure we've had this conversation before! I just found Costner insufferable in it! Yet not in Tin Cup, so go figure.

I think we have, and I always found him more grating in Tin Cup, though I liked the movie (again, more aversion to that particular sport probably playing a big part of it) and him. The rest of the cast in both movies is the big reason I love them both. Specifically the female romantic leads. Where the hell did Rene Russo disappear to? Or have I been missing something?
Happy with not watching Trainwreck.
Thor. She disappeared off to Thor.
msbelle, good plan.

With a pit stop at the Thomas Crown Affair.
I skipped Trainwreck because I also am not the target audience for Amy Schumer's humor. Some of it is amusing (Last Fuckable Day was brilliant) but I'm usually just bored or uncomfortable.
Spy was even better than I expected; McCarthy is funny as hell and everything about that movie was perfect, including the bonus scene at the end.
Thor. She disappeared off to Thor.
I'm irritated at just about everything they did in Thor: The Dark World.
The one thing I liked about it was that the villain treated Frigga like a real threat rather than dismissing her as some damsel he should take hostage as leverage against the menfolk. Makelith seemed to be very aware that if he gave her any opening the new Asgardian yuletide decoration would be The Elf on the Slab.

Freya was no wuss. When she picked up that sword in the first Thor movie, you knew she was up to the task.
I liked Trainwreck mostly. But then I like almost every romcom and as you said... it is one.
I have no defense for anything you said it's just not my hate zone so I laugh at the jokes and reserve my hate for bad physics and hacking scenes.
Mostly, Lebron James made me laugh a lot. Cleveland is for families!
I have not loved what I have seen of her show.
