The one thing I liked about it was that the villain treated Frigga like a real threat rather than dismissing her as some damsel he should take hostage as leverage against the menfolk. Makelith seemed to be very aware that if he gave her any opening the new Asgardian yuletide decoration would be The Elf on the Slab.

Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Freya was no wuss. When she picked up that sword in the first Thor movie, you knew she was up to the task.
I liked Trainwreck mostly. But then I like almost every romcom and as you said... it is one.
I have no defense for anything you said it's just not my hate zone so I laugh at the jokes and reserve my hate for bad physics and hacking scenes.
Mostly, Lebron James made me laugh a lot. Cleveland is for families!
I have not loved what I have seen of her show.
wasn't too fond of Bull Durham.
I'M WEARING A RUBBER CHICKEN ON MY HEAD RIGHT NOW!
(Which is to say, thank GOD there is another person out there who doesn't get Bull Durham. I mean, it was...fine? I guess?)

::high fives::
Yay! I feel EXACTLY THE SAME!
Rewatched WYN. Damn, the eyelash game was distractingly strong in that one. Plus, I still feel I am correct about Colin serving the Manic Pixie Dream Girl role.
And all the other stuff. Natch.
I love What's Your Number! Colin is a total MPDG, and Chris Pratt's role gives me joy. And I find Bull Durham to be eminently quotable, but only watchable in fits & starts.
I am not Judd Apatow's target audience, so I have no commentary on Trainwreck. I got through about a third of This Is 40 before giving up in disgust.
ION, I hope Keanu Reeves has a cameo in Key & Peele's Keanu. It looks silly & like an extended sketch, but also adorable.
Here's a great article (? essay?) piece about Melissa McCarthy: [link]
I have never seen Bull Durham. I feel completely comfortable with this as a life choice.
I enjoyed certain parts of Trainwreck, but then again I enjoy a good rom com. Tilda Swinton was everything in that movie!
I am on pins and needles waiting for Keanu. I heart Key & Peele. I miss their show like every day. I will be miffed if Keanu doesn't make a cameo at least. Missed opportunity.
I liked Trainwreck very much but not nearly as much as Spy. Most things I didn't like about Trainwreck are directly related to its Apatow-ness not its Schumer-ness. And LeBron was hilarious.
Go Melissa McCarthy!
I am a Bull Durham fan, although I admit I might find the depiction of the life of a lit professor a bit more suspect if I ever tried rewatching it. It may help that I'm a bigger fan of both Sarandon and Robbins than I am of baseball. Haven't seen either Trainwreck of What's Your Number? but I'd be up for both of them. I have a soft spot for rom coms.
And I do want to see Keanu because Key & Peele & kitten! But I am a bit leery. I kinda love the first bit and I'm worried I won't love the rest of the movie quite as much.
