I read at least one review that says it is the best CG Disney movie to date. Take with whatever salt you want but it will probably be decent at least.

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
I finally watched "Lucy" tonight. That was surprisingly meh, for a quasi-superhero movie starring Scarlett Johansson. Glad I didn't pay theater prices.
Am I correct in interpreting this as, "If you are taking kids, this is at least decent and will not make you want to gouge your eyes out"?
The trailer looked hilarious.

Yes. It's actually better than that, but, predictable is not quite the right word, nor is boring, let's just that I was sort of ahead of it and impatiently waiting for it to unfold. Also, the "message" is spread very thickly throughout.
They lost me by having the sloth sequence be 90% of the trailer. I was clawing at my seat expectantly waiting for the next preview to start so I wouldn't have to watch/listen to that anymore.
Ha! The sloth was what I found hilarious.
As always, different people like different shit.
I am completely the rabbit in the preview.

Oh, me too. 100%. But it still made me laugh my ass off.
ION -- OMG GHOSTBUSTERS TRAILER!!! I am all the way there for that movie. It looks like it's going to be really good.
The sloth scene totally annoys me. Except for when the sloth ever-so-slowly smiles and laughs. That was funny.

FYI: I don't remember it being a big part of the trailer but that scene seems interminable in the movie.
