Am I correct in interpreting this as, "If you are taking kids, this is at least decent and will not make you want to gouge your eyes out"?
Yes. It's actually better than that, but,
predictable is not quite the right word, nor is boring, let's just that I was sort of ahead of it and impatiently waiting for it to unfold. Also, the "message" is spread very thickly
throughout.
They lost me by having the sloth sequence be 90% of the trailer. I was clawing at my seat expectantly waiting for the next preview to start so I wouldn't have to watch/listen to that anymore.
Ha! The sloth was what I found hilarious.
As always, different people like different shit.
I am completely the rabbit in the preview.
I am completely the rabbit in the preview.
Oh, me too. 100%. But it still made me laugh my ass off.
ION -- OMG GHOSTBUSTERS TRAILER!!! I am all the way there for that movie. It looks like it's going to be really good.
The sloth scene totally annoys me. Except for when the sloth ever-so-slowly smiles and laughs. That was funny.

FYI: I don't remember it being a big part of the trailer but
that scene seems interminable in the
movie.
It depends on which trailer you saw.
Okay, I see now, the sloth trailer at the first link is
probably a good percentage of that scene. Not quite all I don't
think.
The sloth trailer seemed to me like a trying-too-hard copy of the scotch tape gag in Big Hero 6. Like it's a Disney mandate to have one of those in all of their movies.
