Una, I wouldn't be surprised if the shrink wrap is still on them. Not digging through the pile again to look.
Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
I do feel a bit like a prequel apologist. No, really, they could have been good! There were moments!
I've probably said this a dozen times before, but Episode II sometimes seemed like two movies -- a passable action-adventure flick starring Ewan MacGregor, and a horrendous love story starring Natalie Portman and Hayden Christensen.
All three movies would have been greatly improved if someone had shoved Jar Jar Binks out of an airlock early in Episode I.
They should have had Ellen Ripley make a guest appearance to do just that—she knows how to work the airlock shoving like a boss.
Or Laura "Madame Airlock" Roslin!
I'd be shocked at this point if Disney did anything that the prequels were required viewing for.
I'm a couple episodes behind on Rebels, but as of part way through season 2 having knowledge of The Clone Wars TV series has been far more relevant than anything that happened in the prequels.

What a lovely article. Why do I feel nostalgic for this when it wasn't even a part of my own childhood? Maaaan.
All three movies would have been greatly improved if someone had shoved Jar Jar Binks out of an airlock early in Episode I.
And even better if someone shoved Anakin right on after him.
Aww...
She is as special to me now as she was then. I smile a lot that day. Almost as much as I do the following day as she and I discuss Star Wars-related porn in the make-up trailer.
That was a lovely article.
I think I need to something (TV, movie, watev) with Simon, Felicia Day and Wil Wheaton because they are the ultimate geeks. Maybe some Nick Frost as well.
