Seriously, as far as the prequels go, it's mostly three movies of Anakin turning to the dark side, Palpatine brilliantly manipulating the Republic and executing a power grab, and...Luke and Leia are born.

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
...But what Dana neglected to mention is that all of that is terribly written and directed.
I thought that was a given.
Just checking; maybe there were one or two people left in the universe who don't know that?
I do feel a bit like a prequel apologist. No, really, they could have been good! There were moments!
I discovered today that I actually own Episodes II and III. I could have sworn that I never spent a dime on those. And since I apparently did, why not Episode I? Meh, whatever. They will likely continue to gather dust at the bottom of the DVD pile.

I have those same thoughts sometimes. Aaaaand then the next scene happens and I throw up a little in my mouth.
(I will fight people over the amazing swordplay in TPM, though. Amazeballs.)
Suzi, I only took my prequel DVDs out of the shrink wrap this summer (after many a year) in some fit of "hey, let's get ready for new SW".
And since I apparently did, why not Episode I?
Too much Jar Jar?
I have enjoyed a fair bit of Rebels, although I'm a bit unclear on the endgame, since the setup for Ep IV indicates that ... everyone in Rebels is dead? I'm not sure. But Rebels does have a great voice cast, including SMG as an eeevil Inquisitor.
Una, I wouldn't be surprised if the shrink wrap is still on them. Not digging through the pile again to look.
