Casper's first film in the theater was The Curse of the Were-Rabbit at about Rose's age, and my favorite part was when she was like, "That's a really big rabbit."
We took the kids to see 2001 yesterday (in 70mm at AMMI!), and Aeryn's only question about the plot was, repeatedly after the first 20 minutes, asking "Where did the monkeys go?"
That seems like a sensible perspective from which to interrogate that text.
tbh, I'm still wondering that myself.
I watched The Jane Austen Book Club last night, and was struck by how Hugh Dancy's character in that was really the perfect man for me. Such a shame he was fictional.
Well, that was so very much a Guy Ritchie film.
Which reminds me, I want to watch the RDJ Holmes again.
I have to say I was really underwhelmed by
Ant-Man.
After everything I heard about it, I was expecting better. It was fine (and better than expected given the premise), but stacked against other summer movies, it is way down the list. Of course, it's still above
Age of Ultron,
but I'm officially tired of Marvel movies just being one big tease about the next thing to come.
