Suffice to say, I am bouncing up and down with flappy hands every time I remember this movie is coming. I am so freaking excited. Maybe I will read the book a few more times while I'm waiting.
YASSSSS!
Wash ,'War Stories'
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

RIP Christopher Lee: [link]
Aw, man.
Oh, no!
Oh, I'm sad to hear that. I kind of hoped he'd live forever.
I did too, juliana.
93 is a good run though, especially since he was working almost until the end.
One of Lee's ancestors on that side was the Papal Secretary of State who refused to attend the coronation of Napoleon and is buried in the Pantheon in Rome next to Raphael (the painter not the ninja turtle), which seems like kind of a big deal.
Heh.
From Peter Jackson’s DVD commentary: “When I was shooting the stabbing shot with Christopher, as a director would, I was explaining to him what he should do… And he says, ‘Peter, have you ever heard the sound a man makes when he’s stabbed in the back?’ And I said, 'Um, no.’ And he says 'Well, I have, and I know what to do.’”
