Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Loved the whole movie, every gorgeous, loud second of it.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I just got back from it. Enjoyable and with some awe-inspiring stuntwork, but I wasn't as wowed by the overall movie as I'd expected. There have been three movies I've seen in the last couple of months that I thought were better.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Fury Road tonight. Should we go for 3D or standard?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Jess says not 3D. Jessica "Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai" May 12, 2015 8:33:03 pm PDT (I went back through this thread last night.)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I thought the 3D was unnecessary and kind of distracting - the entire movie was just very slightly out of focus. I vote 2D.

Perfect. That's what I was hoping to hear.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Man, a FB acquaintance posted "Boyfriend called new Mad Max corny....duh, it's not supposed to be serious!"

I haven't seen it yet, so I didn't comment on her post, but I thought "Did they see a totally different movie than the one everyone else I know saw???" (Obviously, everyone is allowed to have whatever reaction they wish to a movie, but it just struck me that her post was the first one I've seen about Fury Road that wasn't "Holy shit, amazing!" and the like.)

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

but it just struck me that her post was the first one I've seen about Fury Road that wasn't "Holy shit, amazing!" and the like.

Oh, someone I know on FB was bored by it. Thought it was too cartoony, no on had a story arc, there wasn't enough plot or dialog, and that the movie was mis-titled because it wasn't about Max. Oh, and that Tom Hardy isn't as good as Mel Gibson was.

I am very proud of myself that I didn't comment on their post.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I can imagine thinking those things, but...no.
