Doesn't winter seem more like archiving season?

Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Always Anti-fascist!

"Fame" is good. Even if the title track reminds of seventh grade chorus.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Pretty much all movies, Kathy. Although there are many many exceptions, generally the filming style/quality of the 70's makes me cringe. I was going through an Audrey Hepburn phase, and hit a roadblock once they started getting too "modern".

Really? Cause '70s movies are some of my faves...The French Connection, The Godfathers, Scarface...(Dang, I would have got sucked into "Medellin", too. Damn it!) And, dang, that list makes me feel ladylike, but I guess I like "The Turning Point" "Annie Hall" and "Same Time, Next Year" too.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I thought he was amazing in Unsinkable Molly Brown. Really--I had a huge crush on him when I was 7 or 8. He's has a wonderful baritone. You can get a sense of him in this clip: [link]

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Am I mean if I post that that must have been a very emotional table for three? Maybe just evil, like Keith.(He has been dressing better lately, at that.)
