It looks fun, in a blow-shit-up-oh-hey-Colin-Firth way. Meaning, I totally want to see it.

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

I'm not sure that I want to see Kingsmen even if it's good, because Mark Millar.
So Jilli and my friend Jeff saw it at an early screening, and said it was great. Despite Mark Millar.
Film Crit Hulk really dug it too.
Oh, and to be clear, the despite Mark Millar re: the source was absolutely part of the review, not something I added. Jeff and I have similar feelings re: Mark Millar, which usually involve shooting him into space from a cannon and calling it good.

Wasn't me! It was Jeff and Six. But yeah, they really enjoyed it.
Yeah, that's an ambiguously constructed sentence. I should have gone with Jeff, a friend of mine and Jilli's...
I know you didn't see it. You were in Europe doing Europe things.
Or I could have just said, "Our friends Six and Jeff."
Sigh. TEACH ME TO TYPE, WON'T THAT?
Steph is me, too. I am EEeee-full about Kingsmen. Colin Firth. Eeee! See how that goes?
I'd much rather see Kingsman than 50SoG, that's for sure. (Friends are organizing a group event to see it, and were taken aback when I said I would prefer not to spend $10 on a movie based on shitty fanfic of a shitty book about how to have a horribly unhealthy relationship, with unattractive actors who openly admit they can't stand each other [how's that for chemistry, boyo?]. Now, Colin Firth and things going boom? THAT'S hot.)
(Our friends are...bemused by my reaction, to say the least.)
