I'm watching the first Sherlock Holmes movie. Gosh, I love Mary. She's not berating Holmes for Watson getting hurt, she's telling him it was Watson's choice and to get out there and solve the problem.

I suspect I'll have fewer reservations because while Star Trek was mostly still near and dear to my heart when Abrams took his swing at it, I've had decades of books I didn't like and three prequel movies to dispel any good feelings about Star Wars.
I'm not a fan of Abrams' style, but can he really do worse than Jar Jar Binks?

I am unexpectedly excited. I got all giddy hearing the familiar sound effects and music. Also I think it's cool that the only faces in the trailer are those of a black man, a white woman, and a Latino man.
