Oh, I get it. You just don't like who did the rescuing, that's all. Wishin' I was your boyfriend what's-his-height. Oh wait, he's run off.

So they're making a sequel to Hansel and Gretel. Did it really make enough money to justify a sequel? Or are Jeremy Renner's arms and butt that much a draw?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Did it really make enough money to justify a sequel?

Oftentimes movies make a lot more internationally which justifies a sequel. That's probably the money logic here.

It did have a very Eurocentric feel to it. So more naked Renner butt to look forward to. It must be in the really cheap bin somewhere.

So I went to see Obvious Child tonight, and it was good! It's not awesome, but it was funny, and occasionally moving, and kind of off-kilter and quirky, and the abortion bits were blackly humorous and seemed very true-to-life. I definitely recommend it if you're the kind of person who's okay with a rom-com that involves an abortion by the main character.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I saw GotG and loved it.

Disappointed in Lee Pace and Karen Gillian a little, but I didn't know it was Pace until the credits - kind of like Eccelston in Thor 2.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Also saw GotG over the weekend. I'd have liked a little more goofy, but any movie that turns "Ooh, Child" into a major plot point isn't taking itself too seriously.

So I guess, once again, Dragon Riders of Pern rights have been bought. By Warner Bros. this time. Will it happen, do we want it to happen?

I fancast the actor who plays Bucky to be F'nor.

Does Warner Bros. dabble in television? I'm torn between wanting movies with the big budgets, and a medium that would allow for the small subplots to play out.

I had to pull out my People of Pern book at the news, and was surprised to find that the artist had already fancasted a bunch of the characters, amongst them being John Stamos and Billy Murray. My fifteen year old self didn't realize this at the time, but it's fairly obvious with several of her portraits.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Finally watched GotG today. Enjoyed it, but wasn't blown away like some folks. Probably middle of the pack in my Marvel movie hierarchy.

I did love Rocket and Groot, though.

Went back and read all the whitefont and I too was shocked Drax didn't react to the "give a shit" line.

AW YISS. My instant video copy of CA:TWS is available today.

Am I going to watch it every day? Probably.

I wish I could go home right now and get started.
