I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'd rate the top Marvelverse as:

1. Avengers 2. Iron Man 3 3. Guardians of the Galaxy

With an honorable mention: 4. Captain America

Last: Incredible Hulk

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm inclined to rank Iron Man 1 pretty highly, because I think as an origin story, it totally nails it. I also have a soft spot for Thor 1, because it's so straightforward and structured really well. (And it surprised me with how much I liked it, having gone into it knowing nothing about Thor.)

I think Iron Man 2 and Thor 2 disappointed me so much because their predecessors were so good. And since Iron Man 2 and Thor 2 were so disappointing, I was braced for Cap 2 to be a letdown, but DAMN, was that killer.

Avengers is probably easily my #1. Though I haven't seen GotG yet.

brillig

I think I'd put Cap 2 very near the top because it builds so well on Cap 1 and the Avengers and the others. The past is significant, and the state of the world advances.

playing Yondu as Redneck Smurf felt really out of place

Heh.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Just got back from GotG. Both I and the guy sitting next to me reacted at the give a shit line because it was so obviously metaphorical and that never got called out by Mr Literal.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I just saw GotG. OMG I loved it. I laughed, I cried, I went eww. I am in love with Rocket and want to marry him and have little Groot babies.

Yondu being Redneck Smurf was jarring and mysterious. I expected banjos. But whatever, it didn't bother me that much.

Lee Pace did well enough. They all did well enough. I was very happy with it. I will see it again in the theater at least once.

The after-credit scene has destroyed my world. That character cannot exist in my universe. I deny it.

Avengers is still #1, but the margin is much closer now!

Also, I don't have a headache anymore, so GotG also has healing powers.

It's Groot! Herbs heal, right? He's a plant...ergo...

I have a mad crush on Rocket and am hoping for many years of Legolas/Gimli-like buddidom from those two.

So glad your headache is gone, Zen!

If they don't make a little dancing Groot in a vase for us to buy, they are missing a huge marketing opportunity.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

So true.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

they are missing a huge marketing opportunity.

Someone is certainly taking that opportunity.
