I look more rad than Lutheranism

A chunk of Avengers was filmed in Cleveland, too. (To answer your question: this Ohioan knew!)

I went for drinks the other day with two women from Cleveland. They were very aware, and cranky about, the movie being filmed there. Apparently it really screwed with traffic for a while.

I heard about that. I'm always amazed at how movies/television shows can film in any urban location without snarling everything up. Or maybe they do snarl everything up, but the production is good for the local economy, so they deal?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Joss actually apologized to Seoul for fucking everything up while he filmed.

To answer your question: this Ohioan knew!

I wondered - since I've been given the impression that Cleveland and Cincinnati are worlds apart, I wasn't sure whether THIS Ohioan knew.

When we were on the double-decker tour bus in NYC, we passed a film location. It did jack up traffic some (though in NYC slow traffic didn't seem that surprising) but us tourists got a charge from seeing a movie set. I suppose the locals were probably less charmed.

They are, but I'm a nerd, so I know these things. I couldn't really tell you what else goes on in Cleveland these days, but I had read about CA2 and Avengers filming there. (I guess that's more nerdgirl knowledge and less Ohioan knowledge.)

Well, while CA:WS was being filmed, their traffic was screwed six ways to Sunday, I can tell you that. :)

Also, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

I had no idea that Avengers 2 filmed in Seoul! I mean, I haven't lived there for 25 years so I probably wouldn't recognize major monuments they destroy, but I am psyched all the same!

Apparently it really screwed with traffic for a while.

When the last Batman flick filmed in Pittsburgh, they blocked off one of the major arteries in a very busy section of the city for several days. The novelty of "woo-hoo Batman!!" wore off *really fast*, I'll tell you that.

So, who -- other than Epic -- is going to see CA2 tonight?

Yo, I saw it at 8pm last night. I am loving this trend of earlier showings now that I'm getting older. Staying up for the midnight premiere of The Avengers was harsh.

I might have to see it again this weekend.

I think I have too many movies on my Still Want to See list to try again for this weekend, but definitely would like to see it again.

I don't remember seeing much chat here about Monuments Men when it opened - did anyone see it and was it as much of a mess as critics would have me believe? I thought it looked good, and if I want to catch it while it's still in theaters, I need to hop to, since our only second run theater got closed.
