It's not just you. That was an AWESOME Batman.

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

That earworm has saved me from the evil, EVIL promo before the movie for that ride at Disney with THAT song. Even the fact that Pepe the prawn introduced the clip was not enough to mitigate the horror of what followed.
Bless "Everything is Awesome".
In short: Where are my pants?
So...saw the recently released trailer of X-Men.
Under.whelmed. I'm actually a bit worried about the movie now. I hope it is better than X-Men 3.
I don't know much about it, but this preview looks cool: Jupiter Ascending Trailer Brings Back The Love Of Sexy Space Fantasy
It got a pretty bad review in the Bmore Sun today.
My favorite line from that review is "Aronofsky is pretty close to being a great director who's never actually made a great film." It's so true!
Someone on FB posted this to my wall: [link]
It's just a fan poster, not a real project. Which I'm actually glad about, because while I think HBC could be a great Mary Poppins with the right director, I don't entirely trust Tim to BE that director. And please, no more Burton/Depp collaborations for a while.
But damn, it would be pretty. Full of eye candy just for MEEEEEE.

Frankly, no more Depp for a while, period. And I've about 5 actresses I'd cast as Poppins before HBC (though she could do a good job, true).
Speaking of Depp, I would love to know who thought his Whitey Bulger movie was a better bet than the Affleck/Damon one. [link]
